Hearp Landscapes was founded by brothers Greg and Richard Hearp with one clear mission: to bring dependable, high-quality landscaping to the Roanoke Valley while treating every property like it’s our own. What started as two brothers helping neighbors maintain their yards has grown into a full-service landscaping and hardscaping company built on skill, integrity, and true local pride.

Our Story

Growing up in Southwest Virginia, we were always outdoors—mowing lawns, trimming bushes, helping friends and family keep their yards looking sharp. Over time, that passion evolved into something bigger. Richard went on to attend Virginia Tech, where he studied Turfgrass Management, gaining a deep understanding of soil science, plant health, and proper lawn care techniques.

With Greg’s hands-on experience, work ethic, and commitment to customer service, and Richard’s formal training in turf and landscape systems, we combined our strengths to launch Hearp Landscapes.

From day one, our approach has been simple:
